Programming with the ShowView system
ShowView simplifies programming your video recorder. You simply enter the ShowView code provided in your TV programme guide, and confirm the entry. The ShowView system was developed under license of the Gemstar Development Corporation.
The recordings made with this video recorder can be played on any recorder that uses the same system.
The Super-VHS system
Super-VHS (S-VHS) is a further development of the VHS video world standard. The advantages are increased brilliance and enhanced picture sharpness during playback of video recordings in standard as well as long-play mode. [. . . ] Pictures contours become softer, or harder.

2. Record Programming
Entering Recording Data in the Remote Control, Variant 3
You enter the data of the desired broadcast into the remote control and the remote control´s display will guide you step by step. The respective display prompts you to enter the required data.
Preparations
Insert a cassette with sufficient playing time and not protected against recording. When » CASS N 0 === « appears in the recorder´s display, enter the number of the cassette as a three-place digit with the numeric buttons . . . (The cassette number must only be entered if you want to use the archive system).
