Optimizing the freeze-frame picture
If the picture jitters or flickers during the freezeframe playback function it can be optimized. Use the D button to select the » Jitter Adjustment « line and call it up using the G button. Use the D or C button to adjust the picture to the best subjective quality and then press the G button.
Use the numbered buttons 1. . . 9 to enter a number for the mark 1 to 9 an then press the Y or X button, or turn the shuttle ring to the left or right. The tape is wound to the selected mark and playback is started there.

Preparation
Switch the TV set on. Select the programme position for the video recorder at the TV set (AV programme position). Insert a cassette with sufficient playing time into the cassette compartment.

Operation
Select programme position, step by step using the DC buttons on the remote control or the a b buttons on the recorder; directly using the numbered buttons 1 . . . For two-digit programme positions, press the second numbered button directly after the first. To do this press the K button on the remote control or the M button on the recorder for a longer period. Select recording pause using the W button on the remote control or the U button on the recorder. Continue recording using the K button on the remote control or the M button on the recorder. End recording using the H button on the remote control or the i button on the recorder. To do this, with the stop function selected, press the Y or X button on the remote control, or turn the shuttle ring to the right or left. End winding using the H button on the remote control or the i button on the recorder.

Eject the cassette. To do this press the N button on the remote control or the P button on the recorder. Switch the recorder off using the A button on the remote control or the i button on the recorder.

Megalogic function
If the recorder is connected to a TV set with Megalogic functions, it is possible to record the TV programme which is visible on the TV screen by pressing the K button on the remote control or the M on the recorder. The programme position need not be selected on the recorder.

Assembling recordings with clean joints (assembly editing)
During playback, locate the tape position where you wish to join the new recording. [. . . ] Use the e button to switch the TV set back on.

Fixing faults yourself
Fault
No clock time indication on the recorder/ the cassette is not pulled in. Recording of TV programmes not possible (only snow on the picture screen).
Cause
Mains plug disconnected or defective contact. The electronic combination lock is activated (display » LOCKED «). Failure of the TV transmitter or aerial system is defective.
Remedy
Insert mains plug or use a different supply socket. [. . . ]
