Example
Begin programming with the SV/V+ button. The data are shown on the TV screen and on the recorder display. Only the screen display is described in the example.

If the programme is to be recorded daily or weekly at the same time, press the Z ED/EW (green) button once or twice. The "daily" function is not available for recording on Saturday or Sunday. Press the SP/LP button if the recording is to be made in long-play mode. The data can be changed using the buttons B PROG, B DAY, B START, B STOP. 5 Confirm programming using the G button The data for the programme are stored in the first memory position (TIMER). All drive mechanism functions of the recorder are now "locked".

Enter the ShowView number for the desired TV programme using the numbered buttons 1 . . . In case of an error, the last digit of the ShowView number can be deleted using the CLEAR button.

All you have to do is activate the ShowView system by pressing a button, enter the ShowView number code indicated in the TV magazine and confirm the entry.

Confirm the ShowView number using the G button. The recorder transforms the ShowView number into the actual recording data.

These indicate various operating states and errors. The messages appear on the TV screen or in the display on the recorder.

Checking the occupied TIMER positions
Press the SET/CHECK button. After a short time the recorder switches the table off automatically and returns to record stand-by mode.

Remaining playing time
Dispaly: » Rest « » REST « and the remaining playing time of the cassette. If the » Rest « is negative () and marked in red, a cassette with insufficient playing time was inserted, or the sum of all TIMER recording times is too high.

Altering the data of a TIMER position
Press the SET/CHECK button. The » Record Programming « table appears Select the required TIMER position. To do this, press the SET/CHECK button as often as necessary, until the coloured marker is at the required TIMER position.

Erase the data of the TIMER position using the CLEAR button.
Code error

If the VIDEO 1 2 switch is not at the selected VCR address during GV 560 operation, the display » VID I « or » VID 2 « on the recorder signals that the remote control must be switched to the other VCR address.

Fixing faults yourself
Useful Information
Not every picture or sound fault means a defect in your recorder. For example, a cable that was accidently pulled out, a defect in the TV set, or a failure of the transmitter or of your aerial system also leads to reception problems.
Fault
No clock on the recorder/ Cassette is not pulled in. Recording of TV programmes not possible (only snow on the picture screen).
Cause
Mains plug disconnected or defective contact. TV transmitter failure or defective aerial system.
Remedy
Insert mains plug or use another wall socket. [. . . ]
