(Caller ID subscribers only) You can only remove the first ring if the unit rings two times or more by default, which depends on your service provider/telephone company. *8 Turn this feature off if you prefer not to hear key tones while you are dialling or pressing any keys, including confirmation tones and error tones. *9 If you subscribe to a Caller ID service and want to view the caller's information after lifting up the handset to answer a call, turn off this feature. *10 The recall/flash time depends on your telephone exchange or host PBX. *11 To prevent other users from joining your conversations with outside callers, turn this feature on. *12 KX-TG6711 series: page 3
Special programming
Alarm
An alarm sounds at the set time for 1 minute and is repeated 5 times at 5 minute intervals (snooze function). You can set one of 3 different alarm options (once, daily, or weekly) for each alarm time. Important: R Set the date and time beforehand (page 16).

Note: to stop the alarm completely. R Press R When the handset is in use, the alarm will not sound until the handset is in standby mode. R Press any dial key, MSmart functionN, or to stop the sound but keep the snooze function activated. R If you want to make an outside call when the snooze function is activated, please stop the snooze function before making the call.

Setting the ring delay
This setting allows the handset to ring during night mode if the caller waits long enough. If you select "No Ringing", the handset never rings during night mode.
Night mode
Night mode allows you to select a period of time during which the handset will not ring for outside calls. This feature is useful for time periods when you do not want to be disturbed, for example, while sleeping. R We recommend turning the base unit ringer off (page 26) in addition to turning the night mode on. (KX-TG6721 series: page 3) R If you have set the alarm, the alarm sounds even if the night mode is turned on.

Caller information is slow to display.
Time on the unit has shifted. The name stored in the phonebook is not fully displayed while an outside call is being received.
Answering system
Problem The unit does not record new messages. R If you subscribe to a voice mail service, messages are recorded by your service provider/telephone company, not your telephone. Change the unit's number of rings setting or contact your service provider/telephone company (page 38). [. . . ]
