Thank you for buying the PENTAX Optio 33WR Digital Camera. Please read this manual before using the camera in order to get the most out of all the features and functions. Keep this manual safe, as it can be a valuable tool in helping you to understand all the camera's capabilities.
Regarding copyrights Images taken using the Optio 33WR that are for anything other than personal enjoyment cannot be used without permission according to the rights as specified in the Copyright Act. Please take care, as there are even cases where limitations are placed on taking pictures even for personal enjoyment during demonstrations, industrial enterprise or as items for display. 4 Taking Pictures

Press the four-way controller (3) in Capture Mode.
The virtual mode dial is displayed.
Press the four-way controller (45) to select [ F (Panorama Assist)]. Press the four-way controller to select the joining direction.
4 joins the images at the left. The explanation below will assume that 5 is selected.

Take the first image.
Press the shutter release button to take the first image. The right edge of the image is displayed in transparent form at the left of the LCD monitor.

Move the camera to the right, and take the second picture.
Repeat this procedure for the third and following pictures.
Press the OK button.
The screen returns to step 4.
To cancel Panorama Assist mode, switch to any other mode.

· The camera cannot join the images. Use the panorama software (ACD photostitcher) provided with the camera. For details on joining panorama images, see the separate booklet PC Connection Manual. · Continuous shooting and interval shooting are not possible in Panorama assist mode. Continuous Shooting (Continuous Shooting/ Multi Continuous Shooting)
Pictures are taken continually while the shutter release button is pressed. There is Continuous Shooting and Multi Continuous available.
aj a_ Continuous Images are captured, processed, and saved one by one. Shooting Multi Continuous Pictures are taken four frames at a time and saved as a Shooting single image.

Press the four-way controller (2) to display aj or a_ on the LCD monitor. Press the shutter release button.
Pictures are taken continually while the shutter release button is pressed. Recording stops when you release the shutter release button.

Taking Pictures at Fixed Intervals (Interval Shooting)
In this mode, still pictures are taken automatically at a fixed interval.

Press the four-way controller (2) to display k on the LCD monitor. Press the shutter release button.
Interval shooting will start with the following settings. ·Number of Shot 2 ·Start Time 0hr 0min When shooting is finished, the camera turns off automatically.

Select [Interval Shooting] on the [A Rec. Press the four-way controller (5).
