[. . . ] The first page of the documentation accompanying the fader modules states that you should not attempt the installation yourself and it is recommended that you take your mixer to an authorized Pioneer service center to have this kit installed. [. . . ] Following these simple instructions will prevent you from being without your mixer for a week, and your warranty on the DJM-2000 will remain intact. Please keep in mind that while this is not an overly technical task, there is the potential of doing damage to your mixer should you not pay careful attention and follow these steps in order. Your warranty will not cover damaged caused by improper rotary kit installation should you decide to install it yourself. Tools Required: A #1 Phillips (+ shape) screwdriver and your fingers. The box contains: 4 channel and 1 master rotary channel modules, 5 rotary knobs, 12 EQ caps and a faceplate. Step 1: Remove all fader and channel caps from the 4 channels plus master. Do not over-tighten the corner screws, as you don't want to strip the screw-heads. Step 6: Add the knobs from the rotary package on to the faders, aligning the flat side accordingly. Place the new channel EQ caps on the EQ spindles. Step 7: Pack your old faders and knobs into the rotary kit box. Use the anti-static bags from the rotary modules for the inline modules, placing the slider at the middle of the travel so it will fit into the foam. Step 8: Enjoy your new rotary equipped DJM-2000!
