General information

Notes on operating instructions

MP3 files with a maximum bit rate of 320 kbps and a sampling frequency of 48 kHz can be played. MP3 files must have the extension ". mp3", while WMA files must have the extension ". wma" in order to be read by the multimedia system. The following information and functions appear in the MP3/WMA menu: 1. Display of the medium (DVD, CD, SD), the current track number (file) and the total number of tracks (files) on the current disc or SD card 17. Display of the selected sound style, the current loudness setting and the selected rear zone operating mode 19. Display of the ID3 tag with MP3 playback Playing MP3/WMA files When an MP3/WMA disc or SD card is inserted, all files and folders are played sequentially. Selecting a track Touch the desired track in the track list (3), or touch the keyboard symbol (15) and select a track using the number pad.

Displaying JPEG images

JPEG images can be displayed from DVD and CD with the DVD player as well as from SD card. JPEG files must have the extension ". jpg" in order to be read by the multimedia system. If JPEG images and MP3 or WMA files are available on a storage medium at the same time, both file types are displayed in a list. JPEG images are displayed with a camera symbol in front of the file name, while audio files have a musical note in front of the file name. Displaying JPEG images Select the source from which the images are to be displayed (DVD, SD). When the JPEG menu is displayed: Touch the L/M symbol to start displaying the images in the list, or touch the name of the image to be displayed in the list. Image control During display, touch area C (left) or D (right) on the touchscreen to jump to the previous or next image. During playback, touch function area E (bottom centre) of the touchscreen to display the on-screen control elements. Rotate the image by 90° anticlockwise

Hands-free mode with Bluetooth

On the touchscreen, touch the PHONE symbol in the main menu, or on the touchscreen, touch the Bluetooth symbol next to the time in one of the other menus. If the switch input for the reverse gear is connected (see Connection overview, ISO chamber A), the video image from the reversing camera is displayed automatically as soon as reverse gear is engaged.
